1. So much anticipation builds when it comes to bridal portraits because it’s the only type of picture that can’t be shown for months after they’re taken and edited! Ruth and Daniel got married this past weekend, however, so here are some of her long awaited bridal portraits!!

  2. So our dog, Ziggy, is awesome. Way awesomer than any dog you’ve ever met. Here’s a fun and true story that happened to us a few weeks ago.

Ziggy LOVEEES tennis balls (You may have seen our previous post with his jumping/fetching/flying session). On this particular day, he had 8 tennis balls in the backyard, and I know that because I had just mowed the yard and had to move each of them. I came inside and took a quick nap. When I woke up it looked like a great time of day to take the dogs for a walk so I looked out the window and saw…..this. It was like a scene out of a movie. I was in this backyard working 1-2 hours prior and now there are 129 tennis balls in the yard. Yes, we counted. Needless to say, we let Ziggy out and I would’ve paid to know the thoughts going through his head. I wouldn’t be surprised if he thought he died and was in Dog Heaven.

*You can’t really get the full effect from the one shot, but the whole yard looked like that.

  4. Caitlin and Dave braved the imminent pranks and got married on April Fool’s Day at the stunning Middleton Plantion. I couldn’t help but call her on that morning and tell her my car had been broken in to and all my gear had been stolen, but she was well prepared for any jokes! Their wedding was easily in the top 3 prettiest weddings Amanda and I had ever seen either as a guest or a vendor! Everything went smoothly, the weather was perfect, and it never hurts when the groom is a professional chef and the bride is FIVE-star pastry chef! The food was easily better than most upscale downtown Charleston restaurants!

  6. Eden’s wedding day was a little interesting. There was a last minute broken hip, a separate night before hospital admission, and a little bit of precipitation throughout the actual outdoor wedding day. And somehow Eden remained outrageously calm and composed! Her’s is the second wedding Amanda and I have had the pleasure of shooting at the Old Sheldon Church Ruins and it was just as beautiful as we remember! Here are a few of our favorites! Keep an eye out for Amanda’s wedding video in a few weeks!

  7. I’m so happy I get to share these! Eden was our first bridal session of the new year and now that she’s married, I can finally post our favorites!! Not only was Eden the first client of the year, but she was also the first with my new 5d mark II. This shoot was a great way to start 2012 and I could not be happier with the quality of this camera!!

  8. Man oh man!! Where do I begin?! Lisa and Josh’s wedding was our first of the season, my first with the new camera, and definitely one of the most enthusiastic!! There was so much excitement and happiness throughout the day that you would never guess there was a 9 hour non-stop monsoon the entire day! Aside from the less-than-perfect weather there was a Lion King karaoke tribute from 2 of the groomsmen to the groom, bacon wrapped scallops, and A MARIO CAKE!!!!!!! As soon as we saw it our jaws fell open due to the sheer awesomeness. It’s very safe to say that we will probably never see a cake this cool. Ever.
