Charleston Wedding // The Island House // Kalan + Byron

Kalan and Byron are a perfect match. As you will soon find out, strictly based on the joy in their wedding day images. Kalan and I have becomes friends over the past year of planning. I'm even the reason she had a triangle shaped sunburn on her back during her wedding week...oops.  I remember the day they inquired with us about their wedding date. I was so excited because I remembered Kalan as the beautiful redhead with a flower in her hair from one of the very first wedding films we ever made. Kalan and Byron were married on a Friday overlooking the Stono River, surrounded by the love of all of their friends and family. Kalan was walked down the aisle and given away by her baby brother to Byron who needed a few tears wiped from his cheeks, which Kalan took care of right away. They wrote their own vows. They were heartfelt and adorable, and hilarious. They spent the rest of the evening dancing the night away under the big white tent that was beautifully decorated by the Sweetgrass Social team. There was even a special dance to Ricky Martin's "She Bangs," and the groom's sweet mother hid on the sidelines until Juvenile's "back that thing up" started playing. Thanks again for having us, friends. Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Blair!
